What the world needs now, Amen.

The Nicolette Larson Benefit Concert [Vague Records, 4CD]
Live at the Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, CA; February 21, 1998 with Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, and others. This is the second night of the two concerts. VG+ Audience stereo. Complete concert.

The sentiments are exactly right. With tempers flared all around the globe, optimism is in short supply.

It’s gonna take a lotta love
To change the way things are.
It’s gonna take a lotta love
Or we won’t get too far.

Nicolette Larson died December 16, 1997, the two-night tribute concerts raised over US$165,000 for the UCLA Children’s Hospital.

The two-night concerts were released in 2006 but trimmed to a single disc. What we have here is an audience recording of the complete second night. On both nights, not all the same songs were performed and there were changes in personnel. For instance not the same backing vocalists performed on both nights.

Thanks to the unknown taper for his efforts to bring this out. And do buy the official release.
