A Lot Of Songs – Not For Sale [no label, 2CD]

Live at The Troubador, West Hollywood, CA; September 17, 1996. Excellent FM broadcast.

On February 19, 2012 former Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap was hospitalized for nine months due a massive right brain stroke. Songs For Slim was devised to raise money for Slim and his family by having various artists cover his songs.

Phase one of the project (which took place in January 2013) – the auction of a limited edition run of 250 numbered copies of a brand new, deluxe 10” vinyl EP package by The Replacements, their first new release in over 20 years – went off with a BANG, raising $105,743.42. (Click here for more.)

Meanwhile, fans of the Mats and especially Paul Westerberg should give a listen to this excellent FM broadcast with Westerberg in superb form.
