Bob Dylan’s 1978 movie, Renaldo And Clara, certainly has a checkered history. Loosely based on the life and times of Bob Dylan (up till 1978), copies of the film, usually taped from TV, circulate among fans and collectors and, according to the wikipedia, the movie was generally poorly reviewed, often scathingly received, and its initial theatrical run was short. But it is the music, filmed during Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour in 1975, that lives on.
And now, here’s a new transfer, by JTT, sourced from the stereo film. This is what JTT noted: “It would have been possible to insert some tracks in better quality but I prefer to keep a consistancy throughout the disc.”
