TALE OF TWO MEDICAL REPORTS

July 30: Which one is for real? Which report is now in the hands of the police?
We are talking about the MOST controversial report in the history of Malaysia. The one that says Saiful Bukhairy was never sodomised by Anwar Ibrahim.
Then walks in… Director-general of Health Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican has defended another (second) report on Saiful from KL Hospital, saying it was done “according to standard operating procedures, with strict adherence to medical ethics, confidentiality and professionalism”.

In short he said that “The details of the findings have not and will not be disclosed to any unauthorised personnel or agency. No one should speculate or draw conclusions or make assumptions as to the result of the medical examination”.
But it seems newspapers already did so. Who leaked the information to them?
The New Straits Times reported on July 3rd that:
“…a series of checks conducted by KLH confirmed that Mohd Saiful was sodomised and that he had complained of difficulty in passing motion while being taken to the outpatient section of the hospital.”
It was also reported that “when questioned by a doctor, he admitted that he was sodomised. Health Minister Datuk Liow Tiong Lai told reporters at the Parliament lobby yesterday that he had been informed by the hospital that the medical report on Mohd Saiful was ready and had been handed to the police for their investigation.”
“A copy of the report was not sent to the Health Ministry,” he said.
So can we believe what you say, Dr. Ismail? Is this for real? Which report is real?
You want to take the Private Hospital, which purporedly, leaked the first report, to task. What about the KL Hospital? Are you politicising the medical report as well?

I would like to write the following statements in the name of GOD whom I believe.
I am a goverment doctor in the rank of consultant working in hospital Kuala Lumpur. I know personally the doctors who examined Saiful on that day -28 June 2008.
The so called medical report mentioned in the NST is a fabrication or imagination by the UMNO paper. There is no such medical report submitted to the polis yet.
When examine Saiful, the specialist could not find any signs of Saiful being sodomised. Saiful was very cheerful, unlike real sodomised patient who will usaually very sad and disturbed. Saiful was subsequently admitted to the ward and observed for a day. He was completely well in the ward and not emotionally disturbed.

For the record, the statutory declaration by Raja Petra about the wife of the deputy prime minister of Malaysia, Najib Abdul Razak’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, being at the scene of a murder is not getting any news coverage. It is also unknown if there is any investigation going on.
Raja Petra had said in his SD that Rosmah Mansor was at the scene when the Mongolian model, Altantuya, was murdered and her body blown up with C4 explosives. Both Najib Abdul Razak and Anwar Ibrahim are competing to see who will lead Malaysia.
